A 5-Day Break Free From Sugar Challenge for Christian Women
You keep telling yourself, "Tomorrow I'll cut back on sugar." But tomorrow comes, and the cravings do too. What if it isn't just willpower — and what if freedom starts with becoming aware?

Maybe you've said it a hundred times: "Why can't I just stop?" You know what you should do. You start strong. Then the cravings return, and so does the guilt. But trying harder was never the whole story.
Cravings often begin in the body — in blood sugar swings, habit loops, and what we've come to reach for.
Sugar can become a comfort, a reward, a stress response we've leaned on for years.
Patterns repeat because we perceive, feel and do what we believe. But not everything we believe is true. Awareness is the first step toward asking God for his perspective.
"Freedom isn't found in perfection. It's built one faithful step at a time."
There's always a reason underneath the reaching — and noticing it is where freedom begins. There may be more happening beneath the craving than we realize. Becoming aware of those patterns—without guilt or judgment—is where change can begin.
When the day feels heavy and sugar feels like a soft place to land.
After a long day, a hard task, or simply making it through.
When overwhelm builds and your shoulders feel tight.
When the afternoon slump calls and energy feels far away.
When something good happens and sugar feels like the party.
When there's nothing to do and the pantry feels like an answer.

For years, I knew something wasn’t right. I drank a lot of pop, ate a lot of desserts, and craved sugar. At the same time, I was dealing with constant infections, constipation, bloating, fatigue, cramping, and abdominal discomfort. I went from doctor to doctor looking for answers, only to be told there was nothing wrong and that I would have to learn to live with it. So I did—for years.
Eventually, I reached the point where I knew I needed to try something different. I went to a naturopath who believed I was dealing with candida overgrowth and recommended changes to the way I was eating. For the first time in a long time, I felt hopeful. I finally had somewhere to start. I began cutting back on sugar and processed foods and eating more whole foods. It wasn’t an overnight transformation, but over the following months, I began to feel better.
That experience changed the way I looked at food, my health, and especially my relationship with sugar. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about helping other women become more aware of their own relationship with sugar. I know what it feels like to know something needs to change but not know where to begin. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. Sometimes you just need a place to begin—and that’s what I want Sweet Deception to give you.

Changing your relationship with sugar isn't only about what's on your plate. Sometimes we also need to become aware of the thoughts, emotions, and habits we've carried for years — and gently invite God into that process. This challenge weaves faith throughout, not as a tagline, but as the heart of the journey.
